Fathom

Okay. This started as a little underwater shooter.

Move left and right. Fire upward. Dodge the weird stuff. Nice and tidy.

Then I added thirty-six fathoms, boss waves, charge shots, dashes, possession tricks, whale songs, relic goals, and a kraken. Also a field guide. So. It got deep.

You clear swarms, pick up power, learn what each creature does, and try to keep your tiny sub alive while the abyss gets louder. Currents push your shots sideways. Whirlpools pull everything around. Mines drift into bad places. Bigger things show up with health bars and no manners.

The field guide is the part I kept tinkering with. It turns the game into a little specimen book, with crown beasts, wildcards, hazards, helpers, and entries for the places you dive through.

I hope it feels like finding something strange under a rock.
